Every event, video, petition and book on this page was paid for by ordinary people: a transfer here, a book bought there, a meal shared after a meeting. We never had an office, a staff or a sponsor. What we had was you.

I wanted to show you, in plain numbers, what Healing the Divide and I built together as a community with the little we had. Five years of work, and every dollar of it came from people who believed it mattered.

Why support us?

For five years, when most voices in Singapore fell silent, we kept asking the questions that mattered, and we kept listening to the people no one else would hear. We did it without a single government dollar, without an office and without a sponsor. We did it with you.

• No one else in Singapore has asked these questions, consistently, for five years. The numbers on this page are the proof.
• The questions still matter. Public money undeclared for years, research funding never published, new vaccine investments, and people harmed who have never been heard.
• You can see what your money does. This page is the record, and we will keep publishing it.

26 Jul 2021	It starts with a Facebook post: my reply to Professor Tommy Koh. The same day, the petition Do not let vaccination status divide us is launched. It gathers 16,355 signatures.
9 Aug 2021	First National Day gathering on Zoom, remembering those we love and lost.
11 Aug 2021	The Healing the Divide Discussion group opens on Telegram.
31 Aug 2021	Our first Community Night.
4 Sep 2021	The petition is sent to Parliament’s Public Petitions Committee with 12,348 signatures, along with letters to the Prime Minister and ministers asking for a hearing.
9 Oct 2021	The HTD Support Group opens on Telegram.
28 Oct 2021	Our first lawsuit: against SPH.
31 Oct 2021	International doctors join our Zoom events for the first time.
16 Nov 2021	An application is filed in the High Court against the Government (HC/OS 1189/2021).
5 Dec 2021	A panel of doctors from around the world, including Dr Tess Lawrie, joins our Zoom event.
24–26 Dec 2021	A three-day Christmas event.
29 Dec 2021	A lawsuit is filed on behalf of a boy against the Health Minister. The court accepts it on 31 December.
31 Dec 2021	The Telegram discussion group passes 5,000 members.
21 Jan 2022	I am arrested and held for 15 days in police remand. I am released on 4 February 2022.
23 Apr 2022	First Wake Up Asia online conference. It returned in March 2023 and as a two-part event in April and May 2024.
7 May 2022	Gathering at Speakers’ Corner, Hong Lim Park, with more than 100 people.
2022–2023	Sixteen information packs for families, workers and employers, and the Black Paper, a citizens’ response to the government’s COVID-19 White Paper.
17 Nov 2023	The Hungry for Singapore marathon fast begins.
2024–2025	Public apologies and published corrections obtained from people and media outlets who made false statements. Facebook accounts restored after legal action against Meta.
Nov 2025	The Silent Roar: A Covid Awakening in the Lion City is launched.
Aug 2026	Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction: A Singapore Story is released, asking what public research funding was spent and why the amounts were never published.
Sep 2026	Write to Your MP campaign on the HSA (Amendment) Bill.
10 Sep 2026	At trial, the prosecution indicates it will stand down 2 of the 7 charges being tried against me and amend 3 others.

Talks, workshops, remembrance days, book readings and legal-rights sessions, including four Wake Up Asia online conferences. Most events were online in the early years; since 2023 most have been in person.

A growing community

Across TikTok, Facebook, Telegram, YouTube, Rumble and X, more than 36,000 people follow this work. On Facebook alone, our posts were viewed 4.1 million times in the last 90 days.

Our volunteer army

Healing the Divide is not funded by any government organisation. Everyone does their part because we feel for the mission of what we are doing. I am proud of every one of them.

Where the work has travelled

Healing the Divide has never worked alone. Over five years, this work has reached 14 countries. These are the doctors, scientists, activists and organisations I have interviewed, been interviewed by, or whose work has crossed with ours.

From the first petition onward, the aim was to give people a way to speak together and be counted. The petitions remain on Change.org.

Books and writing

• The Silent Roar: A Covid Awakening in the Lion City. Paperback and Kindle, 2025, deposited with the National Library of Singapore.
• Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction: A Singapore Story. An investigative report on public research funding, released August 2026.
• 125 articles on healingthedivide.cc since 2021, plus the Black Paper and sixteen information packs.

Standing up in court

My own trial

I face 14 charges, and I have pleaded not guilty to every one. On 10 September 2026, the prosecution indicated it will stand down 2 of the 7 charges on trial and amend 3 others, leaving 5 at this trial. Seven other charges will be tried separately later. I am seeking a full acquittal.

These pages are from the Thank you, Iris booklet that members of Healing the Divide made for me after my arrest in 2022. Some names were edited to protect members’ privacy. Every note, prayer and message has stayed with me. I have kept every one.

Heard at Last

An independent, citizen-led inquiry into Singapore's untold COVID pains. No official inquiry has heard from Singaporeans harmed during COVID-19, so we will listen ourselves. Patients, families and healthcare professionals can record what happened, choose whether to be named or counted anonymously, and choose how their account is verified. Every figure we publish will say how many accounts were verified, and how.
